条理清晰地讲清楚了新教改革初期的几个大**：新教改革的背景、主张、成功的原因以及英国如何卷入新教改革纷争等方面的内容，并借古喻今点到了当今的宗教和政治格局（不过并没有深入），总体而言偏重于解读新教改革源头方面的点点滴滴，尤其更为关注英国方面的蜕变，还算不错的历史扫盲史料。★★★☆

David Starkey貌似是***史政类节目的著名主持人，对都铎王朝很有研究。我的欧洲中世纪历史水平真的是不敢恭维，第一次知道新教相比于***其实更尊奉圣经的原教旨，原来是属于***的原教旨主义范畴，在那个历史环境里宗教改革回归原教旨反而是进步的，有时候历史真的很难说。马丁路德振臂一呼，挂起了后来欧洲一百多年的宗教战争。英国引入新教，也跟**八世想**生个儿子不惜和教宗决裂有关。
